Like every online business, we need to do the legal bit! Please read on - let us know if you have any questions or queries.

These Terms and Conditions apply to all transactions made via the Babycare of Dagenham website between yourself and us, you should read them carefully.

They do not affect your statutory rights.

We may vary these Terms and Conditions from time to time and therefore you should check them before you make a purchase.

These Terms and Conditions are governed by English law and are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts. We do not accept amendments to these Terms and Conditions.

Failure by us to enforce any of these Terms and Conditions will not affect our right to enforce the rest of these terms and conditions. 

Acceptance of order

The contract in respect of the products supplied by us to you comes into existence when your order has been accepted by us.  For the avoidance of doubt, receipt of an order via our site does not constitute acceptance of an order.

You’re right to cancel

You have the right to cancel your order with us at any time before the expiry of 7 days from the day after the date of delivery.

Please note that if your order has been processed we are unable to cancel it and therefore return costs are at your own expense.


FREE for orders over £50

Please check the reference under your items title for the delivery time. If you require a more specific date please contact us.

Most items are sent via Interlink Express, before we send will contact you to arrange the delivery date for a day that suits you.

If the courier is unable to deliver the goods, then they will be returned to our warehouse. We will then wait 7 days for you to contact us, to decide if the consignment is still required, before we refund your money minus the shipping and handling cost.

In cases where a delivery has been refused. The consignment will be returned to us. We will then wait 7 days for you to contact us, to decide if the products are still required, before we refund your money minus the shipping and handling cost.

We will only deliver goods to the address on the order.

Boxes are amply sized and your items are well-protected.

Incorrect Delivery Address

If you provide us with a wrong delivery address and your goods are signed for by another party, Babycare of Dagenham cannot be held responsible for any loss you incur as a result.


Pregnancy and parenthood is a very demanding time in your lives. Babycare not only recognises this, but we have over 32 years of history and experience in delivering fantastic customer service.

However, on the rare occasion that you are not satisfied with your new purchase from our online store, we will exchange or refund any unused item provided it has not been used and is returned in a saleable condition, in its original, undamaged packaging, with your receipt and within 21 days from receipt of goods, (exceptions apply for hygiene and safety reasons on some items such as toiletries, clothing and mattresses).

If we find that the product has not been returned to us in a resaleable condition, we reserve the right to refuse a refund. We will refund your original delivery charge when a product is faulty or damaged, upon inspection but not when a product is simply unwanted.

Please note we cannot refund if we have not issued a returns number, therefore, please ensure you get a returns number. Return costs are at your expense.

Should you require an unwanted item to be collected this can be arranged by calling emailing returns@babycare.me.uk.

Please note a handling charge of £10 will be incurred.

Please note any postage incurred by returning items to us will not be refunded. All returned goods must be accompanied by a completed RMA (returns)note (for orders delivered).

This does not affect your statutory rights.

Product Guarantee

All items purchased from Babycare of Dagenham Online are covered by a manufacturer guarantee. This can be anything form 6 months - 4 years depending on the product ordered.

We will exchange or repair any product if it displays a manufacturing fault within 28 days. 

If it displays a manufacturing fault after 28 days, but within the guarantee period, we will repair or send spare parts to you free of charge. 

Accidental damage and damage caused by misuse is not covered by this guarantee and therefore a charge will be made. If you have damaged any of your nursery items, you may be able to make a claim against your household’s contents insurance. 

This warranty does not affect your statutory rights.

Specifications, Colours, Weights & Sizes

We reserve the right to alter specifications without prior notice. All sizes and weights are given as a guide only and are approximate.  Representations of colour are approximate due to limitations of photographic and calibration of different output devices. A name given to a product is not necessarily representative of the colour - for example Steel Blue is actually Red. All goods are subject to availability. If sold out, free offers may be substituted with an item of the same value. Accessories supplied to co-ordinate with the main product may differ in shade; this is normally caused by the manufacturing process and is not a fault.

Wood is a natural product and the grain and finish will vary from piece to piece. Manufacturers normally use different grades of woods for items such as cots or cot beds, and, therefore the finish can appear differently.

Customer Orders

We will treat each order for goods as an offer by you to purchase the goods subject to these terms and conditions.

To order goods over the telephone or on our website, you must be at least 18 years of age and accept delivery within the UK. All telephone orders will be acknowledged verbally at the time of order, and all orders placed on our website will be acknowledged electronically by e-mail. Please note that verbal and/or electronic acknowledgements do not constitute order confirmation or order acceptance. Your order will be accepted and the creation of a legally binding contract between you and us will take place once the goods have been despatched or collected. (Alternatively, we may decline all or part of your order for any reason, in which case we will inform you in-person or by telephone or e-mail).

When deciding whether or not to accept your order we may use certain information about you, including any received from credit reference agency checks. This helps to protect you and us against fraudulent transactions.

We will tell you if your payment details cannot be authorised for any reason and may invite you to pay by another method.

All orders need to be received by 2pm GMT so that the goods may be sent the same day.


The total price payable will be stipulated at the time when you place your order whether or not the order has been acknowledged. We are entitled to make adjustments to the price to take account of any increase in our suppliers’ prices, or the imposition of any taxes or duties, or if due to an error or omission, the price published for the goods is wrong whether or not the order has been acknowledged. We will inform you of the correct price and give you the opportunity to cancel the order. All prices are inclusive of VAT (where applicable) but exclusive of delivery charges which may be payable as indicated at the time the order is placed.

From time to time the prices displayed on our website may be different if you are directed to it from a third party website. Purchases at these prices can only be made on our website and by arriving on it through a relevant third party website; these prices will not be available in-store or over the telephone.

Prices, offers and products are subject to availability and may change before (but not after) we accept your order. If a product becomes unavailable we may offer you an alternative. 

Although we endeavour to ensure that all pricing information on the website is accurate, occasionally an error may occur and goods may be mispriced. If we discover a pricing error we will, at our discretion, either: contact you and ask you whether you wish to cancel your order or continue with the order at the correct price; or notify you that we have cancelled your order. We will not be obliged to supply goods at the incorrect price.

Prices that are reduced for sales and promotions are only valid for the specified period.

Order Cancellation

You can cancel your order at any time before it is dispatched (usually by 3.30 pm GMT). If your card has already been charged, we will aim to credit your account with the full amount within 48 hours.

Order tracking

You can track the progress of your order at any time by logging into ’My Account’ and following the relevant links on screen.

Privacy Policy

Babycare of Dagenham is committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use information given at the time of ordering or when making an enquiry by whatever means is collected lawfully and in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

We do not pass your personal information on to third parties.

All transactions that you initiate with us on this web site are confidential. Your name will not be added to any third party mailing lists.

Under the terms of the Data Protection Act 1998, we have a duty to protect any information we collect from you. It will not be disclosed to any other organisation unless you give explicit permission, or there is a legal obligation to do so. We collect information about you for two main reasons:

1) To process your online order. 
2) To provide you with the most efficient possible service.

The information collected will be used to personally keep in touch and let you know of any offers, sales or promotions that we are undertaking (if you have selected to receive these emails/newsletters).

Right to request information

These Terms and Conditions of Sale shall be governed by the laws of England and you agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts. We are required by law to inform you that sales can be concluded in English only and that no public filing requirements apply.
